Lip Biting
Lip biting is a common habit. Many people bite or lick their lips when they are nervous or concentrating on something. You may bite your lip accidentally and then use your tongue and teeth to play with the sore spot.

When people do it often it causes injury. Lip-biting syndrome refers to chronic oral habits that lead to injuries of the lips, including dryness, peeling and soreness. Besides biting and licking the lips also includes more severe behaviors such as picking at the lips with fingernails.

Prevention :

As oral habits cause lip-biting syndrome, the only way is stopping the habits.
